Gift Cards are for Chumps
In 2006, Americans spent $80 billion on gift cards, and $8 billion of that was never used. Any ideas on how to stop the madness? How can we reverse the story that cash is rash and that giving a gift card shows regard?

Stop giving gift cards. Money is infinitely more useful. Or gift cards that mean something like...you can crash at my house for a week anytime, or I will make you a nice meal, etc.
