How I Read Reddit
For those of you that don't know, Reddit.com is a site where people link interesting stuff from the web. It has become a popular way for readers to get quick updates on what's new and interesting, based on what other users find worth looking at. Great links receive positive votes, and the top 25 most highly ranked links show up on the front page of the site. Reddit posts have unique styles and methods to sell themselves, and I felt like sharing how I use the site:
How do you read Reddit? Post a link!

wow I can't believe I read the whole thing.
it was curiously drawing, even inviting in self affirming recognition in the third person of my internet addiction.
Haha great.
When you deconstruct the titles that way there's some phrase-pieces that get used too much in reddit titles.
I bet if you took all the reddit titles and used them as the training for an A.I. script/randomizer, you'd get some pretty hilarious spoof titles.
I do that too. :D
Nice. I love image links on reddit too!
If you like image links on reddit, you might like eyeitup.net. This is basically a reddit-like but solely for images.
Exactly the same way I read.
Hey frd,
Thats really interesting and very funny and real too..

You get points for good grammar, but demerits for comic sans font. I guess there aren't enough good web design links on Reddit. Time to switch to Digg! ;-)
I never knew that people didn't like comic sans. I always thought it was just a fun/casual font. Will definitely avoid it in the future, given the criticisms received.

Here's a tip: use gif or png as the image format instead of a high-compression jpeg. The file will be small and won't have all those terrible jpeg artifacts around the text.
pretty much like i do it. was nice to see.
You nailed it. I have gotten so jaded with reddit that I usually go right for the New and by the time I am through a view, I have another New to view or not.
No RSS ?
Interesting... and much cheaper than doing a focus group ;-)
Thanks for the bit of insight! Glad you're enjoying the site (although I noticed you didn't mention "stopping to ponder the daily logo doodle" but that's OK)
